Please co-sponsor the Child Welfare Provider Inclusion Act to prevent federal discrimination against faith-based adoption and foster care providers! Children and families who rely on these provides should not lose their ability to find a family! The CWPIA bill in the House is H.R. 1881 sponsored by Rep. Mike Kelly (R-Penn.) and in the Senate is S. 811, sponsored by Sen. Mike Enzi (R-Wyo.).
Congress should make sure that the federal government does not punish or discriminate against adoption and foster care providers in federally funded programs simply because they are faith-based. The CWPIA would ensure the federal government and state governments receiving federal funding for certain child welfare programs do not punish faith-based adoption and foster care providers in licensing, funding, or contracting. Thousands of children and families rely on faith-based providers, and I urge you to support this bill to help them as they seek foster-care and adoption.
